Final Late IOM Series No 5 11th December 2021

A pleasant morning's sailing with a generally southerly wind; rain was forecast for late morning, but it didn't arrive until we'd finished sailing.
With Brian Quinn not sailing , either Geoff Farrar or Peter Cogill could win the series.
Geoff was the skipper in form and he sailed away from the fleet in the first few races. Peter eventually got his boat tuned during the coffee break and was then more competitive, however when Gerry Eggington or Martyn Aspinall, or Peter got in front of Geoff, Geoff still managed to get through before the last mark to win - so Geoff won every race.
Overall Geoff Farrar won the Late Series, with Peter Cogill second and Brian Quinn third

Simon Hardy had a a good day but couldn't overhaul Martyn who won the day and the Series.

Brian Quinn won a close-fought morning of sailing from Jen Hand and Dave Darwell who we welcomed back from Askern.
